RIDLEY PRESENTS A CUSTOM DESIGN FOR EUROPEAN CHAMPION MICHAEL VANTHOURENHOUT

A champion’s jersey deserves a special bike. That’s why Ridley immediately went to work in their own paint shop after Michael Vanthourenhout’s new European title.

Vanthourenhout will be seen for the first time on his new X-Night during the cyclocross race in Merksplas.

On Sunday, November 5, Michael Vanthourenhout crowned himself European champion in Pontchâteau, France, just like last year. This means that the rider from Pauwels Sauzen-Bingoal will be admired for another year in the special jersey with three blue stripes and the stars of the European flag. The picture is, of course, complete with a corresponding bike in the right colors and with the right accents. The Belgian bike manufacturer congratulated the rider on his achievement. Ridley and Vanthourenhout together developed a new design featuring a photo of his son Arthur, who is almost a year and a half old. This way, his cherished one is always with him, providing him with the motivation to give that little bit extra on his bike.

Own paint shop

Ridley has its own paint shop at its headquarters in Beringen, where bikes get the color chosen by the customer through the Configurator. Vanthourenhout’s frame also went through here, receiving blue hues and the distinctive stars of the European champion’s jersey, ensuring the bike fits perfectly into the overall picture. The handover of the new bike will take place
leading up to the Superprestige in Merksplas. Ridley is proud that once again, a champion is riding one of their bikes and hopes that the new X-Night will bring luck throughout the rest of the season.
