We also know how many young cyclists have crumbled under the weight of being labelled the ‘new Eddy Merckx’… And just as Belgium has been searching for the new Merckx for the past 50 years, we are now looking for the new Sanne Cant.
For decades, the number of major cyclo-cross races in Belgium has remained static, whilst the B circuit has been in freefall for some time. That is why the Concap CX-Cup was launched during the past cyclo-cross season. The aim was clear: to halt the downward trend and, above all, to let young riders discover that, alongside the major A-level races, there are other cyclo-cross events that are certainly worth their while.

Reason enough to go to the area south of the Czech city of Brno and then to the border region of the Czech Republic and Austria. A beautiful hilly landscape lies there invitingly ready for every cyclist. We took the test and report on some of the trips we made there in the region. We can already say that it tastes like more.
We are moving to Exeter the capital of the county of Devon (also known as Devonshire) in southwest England. We are not doing so without intention because we will be cycling there. In advance we are briefed on the cycling possibilities in the region by people from Devon County Council. Of course they think their region is an optimal cycling area.
