CYCLIS BIKE LEASE: FIRST AND ONLY BIKE LEASING COMPANY WITH ITS OWN FLEET OF REPLACEMENT BIKES

That Cyclis Bike Lease is innovative was already clear when it pioneered bike leasing in 2014. The company is now showing its innovative side again by being the first bike leasing company to come up with its own fleet of replacement bikes.

This brand new project will first be breathed life into within Limburg, before being extended to all customers by the end of 2023.

Since its inception in 2014, Cyclis has grown from just 50 lease bikes to now 32 000 active lease contracts. That the fleet keeps growing also brings additional challenges, because the more bikes in circulation, the more damage cases there are or the more bikes are stolen. As a result, the cyclist in such situations is left without a lease bike for a while until the bike is repaired or the new bike is available.

The company’s mission is to make as many people as possible happy with a lease bike and to completely unburden them in the process. Therefore, the all-in-lease package already includes a flexible maintenance budget, roadside assistance 24/7 and damage and theft insurance. However, to assist cyclists even better, the package will now be extended completely free of charge with a replacement bike that will be made available in the event of an insurance claim.

The replacement fleet consists of both e-bikes and speedbikes. Cyclists leasing a speed bike will thus be able to receive the same type of bike for replacement, for all other cyclists there will be e-bikes. This additional, supportive service, will first start with a test period within Limburg. After that, the service will be carefully rolled out to all customers in Belgium by the end of this year. In this way Cyclis wants to offer added value and guarantee cycling pleasure for everyone.
