L’ALSACIENNE – THE CYCLING CHALLENGE FOR EVERYONE

The 2023 start of L'Alsacienne from the beautiful Lac de Kruth-Wildenstein was one big cycling party. With more than 2,500 registrations, the previous participation record was surpassed. The organizers attribute this success to their passion for the native land and its traditions with the support of local products. A passion that will again be shared on June 30, 2024 at the start in Kruth and on the flanks of the most challenging cols of the Vosges.

Col Du Haag

The four routes include the new and surprising Col du Haag, which starts in Saint-Amarin. It is a climb that will leave no cyclist indifferent. Inaugurated by L’Alsacienne in 2023, this new challenge has become a must in the Vosges Mountains. Over 11.1 km, you will conquer 828 altimeters here with an average of 8%. With a maximum gradient of 19.5% and on top of that a stretch of 500 meters long at 12% when you’re almost at the top, this is a climb out of category. Nice to get this little monster under your wheels early on in the ride. Warmed up you will definitely be! Moreover, the last 4.5 km of this climb, known as the “Voie Verte du Haag”, is closed to road traffic all year round. So during L’ Alsacienne you cycle through this unique piece of nature while gritting your teeth firmly when overcoming the steep stretches of asphalt.

"L'Alsacienne ... a ceaseless succession of cols and natural beauty"

In addition to this “tough” warm-up, the routes of the L’Alsacienne 2024 give each participant an optimal opportunity to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and this despite the demanding nature of the routes. Thus, the 100 km and 170 km go along the panoramic Route des Crêtes , with the Col du Bramont as the final obstacle. Each distance is a separate experience in itself, with views that invite you to take up this challenge, whatever your level.

Unique supply points

In 2024, there will be even more supply points with local products to feast on. But be careful not to linger too long there, as there are time limits for the 147 km and 170 km stages to ensure the safety of participants!

Excellent preparation for L’Etappe du Tour

Moreover, for the real ” competition beasts “, the Alsacienne is also the best preparation for L’Etappe du Tour 2024.
Barely a week separates the two events. After this intensive training in the Vosges, this is a week that can be used to recover and mentally recharge in order to be at the start with the best possible condition.

Program à la carte

L’Alsacienne offers an à la carte program. Participants can register with or without a medical certificate and with or without a meal – there is a choice of four meals. Participants can even change courses during the event.
