Remco Evenepoel turned 24 on Jan. 25, 2024, and we compared the palmares - up to the 24th birthday - of great riders from different eras and countries. Today we come to the number fifteen in our ranking Roger de Vlaeminck.

Yesterday was the first stage in Paris-Nice and it was immediately accompanied by fireworks from fellow top favorite Remco Evenepoel. However, that other top favorite Primoz Roglic did not let himself be caught by Evenepoel's invitation to give it a patch and kept a low profile. Perhaps the best tactic if you want to be the overall winner?

Now Sunday, third March starts in Les Mureaux the 82nd edition of Paris - Nice, with Remco Evenepoel and Primoz Roglic as the big favorites on the overall victory. The race to the sun ends on March 12 on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice. The course is not really sprinters friendly this year, as there are only two stages where they might be partying. A total of 30 cataloged cols over a total distance of 1219 km are on the menu. There is also another team time trial (stage 3) which, like last year, will clock the times of the riders individually.
