REMCO – FERRARI – EVENEPOEL

Remco Evenepoel stunned everyone in his first feat at the Giro d' Italia 2023 by winning the opening stage wearing the jersey of Belgian time trial champion. He rode at an impressive speed of 55.2 km/h, beating the other specialists, including Italian world time trial champion and top favorite for this stage, Filippo Ganna.

His main rival for the general classification, Primoz Roglic lost a whopping 43 seconds on the 19.6 km course. A loss that was definitely not calculated into Team-Jumbo Visma’s plans. Our still very young super talented  compatriot is in the Maglia Rosa for the first time in his career. It looks like he’s driving a Ferrari around Italy.

CONGRATULATIONS REMCO!
