BOSCH DRIVES THE ALL AROUND EMTB RACE 2022

The e-mountain bike stage race through Valle d'Aosta between July 5 and 9 has announced its parcous with BOSCH eBike Systems as title sponsor.

The technological development of mountain biking has created a new wave of both tourist and sport cycling in the mountains. This rise is also behind the success of a new competition format designed for riders who want to test their skills on technically challenging trails surrounded by Europe’s highest and most majestic peaks.

The organizers of the ALL AROUND eMTB Race have chosen BOSCH eBike Systems as the title sponsor for their event, as Bosch sets the world standard in eBiking. They are also excited to announce that between July 5 and July 9, e-bikers from all over the world will whizz across the trails of the Valle d’Aosta in the first-ever edition of the ALL AROUND eMTB Race BOSCH ePowered.

“It was a long, hard job,” said Luca Santini-organizer of the ALL AROUND eMTB Race BOSCH ePowered. “But by working together with the Region of Valle d’Aosta and thanks to the invaluable support of the 21 municipalities involved, we were able to develop a course with specific e-mountain bike characteristics. Having the support of such an important brand as Bosch also confirmed that our formula is competitive.”

The ALL AROUND eMTB Race BOSCH ePowered features a 200-kilometer circular route that begins and ends in Cogne with intermediate stops in Gressoney La Trinitè, Antey-Saint-André and Valpelline, and a cumulative elevation gain of 8,000 meters. Each stage also includes a climb of more than 2,700 meters.

The meeting point is the ALL AROUND BOSCH Camp, a huge 250-square-meter tent where riders can get advice and help from Bosch experts before the start, in addition to enjoying other activities. At the Aprés Course at the end of each stage, there will also be music, craft beer and local food from Valle d’Aosta to enjoy. This will be perhaps the most enjoyable moment of the day as riders await the announcement of classification and analysis of personal data offered by Bosch. A large screen will also display photos and video clips of the epic moments from the race. “We chose the ALL AROUND eMTB Race because the trails have a high level of technical difficulty, where our bikes can really deliver their best performance,” said Federica Cudini, marketing manager for Bosch eBike Systems Italy. “It is a tough challenge for participants who not only have to have great technique, but also have to be able to manage their power reserves by optimizing the functionalities of our system as much as possible. The Performance Line CX Drive Unit is the ideal companion for this challenge. It is compact, light and delivers up to 85 Nm of torque, which guarantees faster acceleration and is more sensitive to the rider’s effort.”
