TODAY IS CYCLING HELMET DAY

More and more people are getting on their bikes. Whether it is for recreation, commuting or sport. More cycling and changing mobility has its challenges. Protecting yourself is therefore a no-brainer. Accidents happen quickly, and a bicycle helmet offers enormous protection in those moments.

Unfortunately, hospitals see cyclists with serious head injuries every day, which often lead to irreversible brain damage. You will bear the visible and often invisible consequences for the rest of your life. Wearing a suitable bicycle helmet reduces the risk of serious head injury. Today, April 9, is Bicycle Helmet Day, organized by the non-profit organization Brain Injury League. On this day, they emphasize the importance of wearing a bicycle helmet as much as possible. That is also what helmet manufacturer ABUS is doing today. ABUS is opening the doors of their showroom to everyone from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Normally, the showroom can only be visited by dealers of the well-known German helmet brand, but today anyone can take a look. You can also discover the beautiful helmets that ABUS had specially designed for this day.

The helmets with their truly unique design will be sold to the highest bidder and the full amount raised will be donated to the Brain Injury League. The auction consists of three helmets in an exclusive version. These helmets have been worn once by the Movistar team. All three sizes are available. The unique helmets are “public” as of today and can therefore be admired today in the ABUS showroom at Industrielaan 4 – 9320 Erembodegem/Aalst. Everyone has the opportunity to bid on one (or more) helmets. The auction will run for 30 days.
