ITALIAN BIKE FESTIVAL MOVES

The Italian Bike Festival 2021 edition, held last September in Rimini, attracted more than 30,000 visitors. There were more than 400 brands and 230 companies that made the fair one of the top shows in Europe. Impressive numbers that continue to grow, underscoring the "boom" the cycling world is currently experiencing.

To meet the increasing demand for exhibition spaces and to offer services to both industry businesses and cycling enthusiasts, the next edition of the Italian Bike Festival will take place at the Misano World Circuit. As an elite international racing circuit, Misano is one of the few venues in the world where all the top motorcycle races are held. In recent years, it has also added new facilities making it an enormous year-round outdoor motorsports park.

Now MWC will be the setting for the Italian Bike festival on the long weekend of Sept. 9-11, 2022. “It was a decision born of the need to welcome a growing number of exhibitors and still offer a program of side events that will give thousands of visitors what they want. The IBF has proven capable of bringing together the entire cycling sector in all its guises: from road cycling to mountain bikes and urban mobility with its huge variety of specialized products and services.” Thus Francesco Ferrario, organizer of the IBF – “It is fantastic news that only serves to confirm the status of the Misano Adriatico Circuit as an international touchstone for motorcycle and car enthusiasts.” – remarked Stefano Bonaccini, President of the Emilia-Romagna Region – “The IBF is yet another very high-profile event of this wonderful region and it is an extraordinary opportunity to make Emilia-Romagna better known and promoted also outside Italy.

We are a truly bike-friendly region and in recent years we have strategically invested in promoting soft mobility while respecting the environment and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Now this event fits very naturally into that scenario. The cycling economy continues to grow in value, not only in monetary terms, but also in social and environmental terms. The topic of sustainable and urban mobility is under discussion everywhere. We are all aware that bikes in their various forms are the ideal way to reduce traffic congestion and streamline public transport volumes.”

The Italian Bike Festival is therefore aiming for an international audience starting in 2022. What could be nicer to go on a (cycling) vacation to Italy for a few days in September, when the sun is still plentiful in this beautiful region, and to combine it with one of the biggest bike fairs in Europe? Especially since Velofollies was cancelled for the second year in a row, the IBF is a great opportunity to get away for a few days.

All there we would say!
