Hopping on your gravel bike is like leaving everyday life behind and setting off on an adventure. Whether it’s a ride at sunrise or a session after work – the feeling of just heading out on a whim is priceless. To say that a practical and safe helmet is part of the kit is stating the obvious. That’s why there’s the Taipan, which offers you maximum flexibility thanks to the glasses holder, the magnetic, rechargeable rear light and the washable padding.

• Lower edge protection: A polycarbonate (PC) outer shell covers the lower edge of the helmet and protects against scratches, knocks and signs of wear
• Plait opening: thanks to the recess in the height-adjustable fastening system, the helmet is also suitable for long hairstyles such as ponytails, buns or plaits
• Front-mounted glasses holder: a dedicated recess at the front of the helmet to hold glasses in a secure and aerodynamic position whilst riding
• Acti Cage™: enables larger ventilation openings whilst maintaining high stability, thanks to an injection-moulded structural plastic reinforcement
• Reflective sticker: for improved visibility in the dark
• Airflow cooling system: the ventilation openings are connected via internal channels so that incoming air is channelled through the helmet to ensure maximum air cooling and a comfortable head temperature
• Rechargeable, magnetic rear light: attaches to the back of the helmet with magnets and ensures better visibility – can be charged using a USB-C charging cable
• IP44: Protection rating certifying protection against solid foreign objects larger than 1 mm
• Four different light modes (rear light): Steady, Power, Pulse and Flash selectable – suitable for all lighting and weather conditions
• Running time per mode in hours (min.): depending on weather conditions and the nature of use, the light’s running time is at least 4.3 hours in Power mode and at least 35 hours in Flash mode
• Battery charging time (light): the charging time until the battery is fully charged is 1.5 hours
• Flow Straps™: aerodynamic straps for low air resistance, reduced noise in the ears and high wearing comfort
• Snap fastening: for safe and practical use, the straps are fitted with a classic snap fastening (three-point connection) for opening and closing
• In-mould process: A manufacturing process in which the inner cushioning material, made of expanded polystyrene (EPS), is foamed directly into the outer polycarbonate (PC) shell – this creates a durable and robust bond
