The Ore Mountains: boundless love for two-wheelers
Whether it’s a leisurely bike ride along idyllic river valleys or a strenuous ride over the Erzgebirgische Pultscholle, the Ore Mountains are worth discovering by mountain bike, gravel bike, or road bike.
Nature at your fingertips
Always there: the beautiful nature. One moment you are cycling through a wide valley, the next you are riding through narrow gorges with bizarre rock formations. Water accompanies the cyclists, whether it be babbling brooks, larger rivers, or impressive dams. Cycling on the high-altitude trails along the ridge offers overwhelming views and breathtaking panoramas. Early summer, with its blooming mountain meadows, is a feast for the senses!
Cycling without borders
Cross-border experiences are included in the Ore Mountains: the long-distance cycle route Sächsische Mittelgebirge runs 250 kilometers through the Ore Mountains on the German side. Twelve connecting routes link this route to the Erzgebirgsmagistrale, which promises another 170 kilometers of pure cycling pleasure on the Czech side. And if you like a real challenge, why not try your hand at the Stoneman Miriquidi on the gravel trail or on the road trail with your road bike!
