ARE YOU ALSO PLANNING A “GAMECHANGER BID” FOR THE CYCLING HELMET DAY?

More and more people are getting on their bikes. Whether it is for recreation, commuting or sport. More cycling and changing mobility has its challenges. Extra protection is therefore a no-brainer. A fall can happen quickly, and a bicycle helmet offers enormous protection in that moment.

Unfortunately, hospitals see cyclists arrive every day with serious head injuries, often leading to irreversible brain damage. You will bear the visible and often invisible consequences for the rest of your life. Wearing a suitable bicycle helmet reduces the risk of serious head injury. To make every cyclist aware of this, the Brain Injury League VZW is organizing Bicycle Helmet Day on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. This is the second time they are doing this, and the plan is of course to make it an annual event.

Helmet manufacturer ABUS would also like to contribute and is organizing various activities for this worthy cause. In addition to the activities that ABUS itself is organizing through its dealers, ABUS will donate three high-end made in Italy helmets.

The helmets will have a unique design and will be sold to the highest bidder. The full amount raised will be donated to the Brain Injury League. The unique helmets will be put ‘on public display’ on April 9, 2025, and can be admired in the ABUS showroom in Aalst. Everyone will have the opportunity to bid on one (or more) helmets via the channel that will be announced on that day. The auction will run for 30 days and the total amount will be transferred in full to the Brain Injury League.

If you, as a reader, would like to make a direct donation, you can do so via: https://gift.hersenletselliga.be/#/detail/2402

We will keep you informed about the link to the auction via this website.

The non-profit organization Brain Injury League is counting on all of us, so let’s work together to make this a unique campaign and day!
