The Engadin Cycle Marathon celebrates its 20th anniversary

For two decades now, the Engadin Cycle Marathon has been held in Zernez, Switzerland, on the first weekend of July. This year marks the anniversary edition, where once again many cyclists will come together to share their passion, stories, and experiences with each other.

The Engadin Marathon covers three days, five passes, 221 kilometers, and more than 4,000 meters of elevation gain. These figures speak for themselves and invite you to give your best. From July 3 to 5, 2026, the Engadin may celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Engadin Cycle Marathon with you. To mark this 20th anniversary, the organizers invite you to celebrate this special event with family and/or friends with a varied supporting program and numerous highlights.

The cycling program starts on Friday with the “Il Prolog” time trial with a limited number of 150 participants. On Saturday, “La Cuorta” follows with 97 kilometers and 1,300 meters of elevation gain. On Sunday, the grand finale awaits with “La Svizra,” 117 kilometers and more than 2,800 meters of elevation gain—a spectacular conclusion to an unforgettable race weekend. The routes take you over impressive passes such as the Forcola, Bernina, Flüela, and Albula, through beautiful landscapes past the world-famous spa town of Davos and across the border to Italy, including the idyllic Livigno. An alpine experience like no other. For spectators and families, there is also a varied event village in Zernez with an entertainment program, activities for children, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy and socialize.

We are all already looking forward to the 20th Engadin Cycle Marathon – with many super satisfied participants, guests, and spectators. If you also want to experience cycling at the highest level in an incomparable Alpine landscape, simply register and take on the challenge from July 3 to 5, 2026.
